Charging Bull — African Elephant, my first elephant painting, features a magnificent bull elephant in the dusty savanna of East Africa as he charges toward the viewer. I photographed the old, weathered, male elephant in Tanzania at the Ngorongoro Crater during my first visit to Africa. As I was shooting photos, he ran toward our vehicle, and I was lucky to get the shots I needed before we departed to give him more space.

I’ve heard requests from many collectors over the years for an elephant piece, so I’m happy to satisfy people’s love for this beautiful, giant creature. I think it makes a wonderful companion piece for my previous painting of an iconic African animal, Serengeti Warrior — African Lion. I hope you enjoy it!
